Before installing these updates, you must disable the Windows Update Service. Otherwise, the installs will hang because they attempt to check for updates, which is broken and is the purpose of these hotfixes.

To disable Windows Update:

- Open a command prompt as Administrator (Important)

- Then, type: net stop wuauserv

Note: You may need to type the command above for each hotfix, as Windows Update may be reactivated after a hotfix install

When installing these hotfixes:

- Install KB3020369 first

- Then install KB3172605

Ensure you're installing the packages for the right CPU architecture
